The report highlights a continuing trend of decline in the use of the death penalty in Ohio, covers last year's exonerations, comments on the longest period without executions Ohio has gone in over a decade, and also reports the staggeringly high number of men Ohio is planning to put to death in 2016. The media immediately picked up our report; its publication was covered in the Columbus Dispatch and in many other newspapers throughout the state via the Associated Press.
