April Showers Bring Reform That’s Ours!

Dear OTSE Supporter,

The weather is finally starting to turn and spring holidays are upon us! I want to sincerely wish you and your family a joyous Easter, a happy Passover, and a warm beginning to the season of spring.

Thanks to your passion and support, we’re set to make 2015 a substantial Year of Reform. This Monday, we published our 2014 annual report that captured headlines across the state. In two weeks’ time, OTSE will be hosting a Lobby Day in Columbus to show legislators, and the entire state of Ohio, how serious we are about implementing the Ohio Supreme Court’s Task Force Recommendations (read more about how to get involved with our Lobby Day below!). It is humbling and inspiring to reflect on the contributions (both financial and those made of time, effort, and sweat) that have enabled OTSE to have such great opportunity this spring.

Will you join us in Columbus on April, 14 2015 for OTSE’s Lobby Day? We’ll start with a press conference at 10:30AM*, followed with a day’s worth of legislative meetings, panels of speakers, and a fundraiser. Please RSVP here to let us know if you’ll be attending and whether you can volunteer with the day’s planned activities! Don’t miss your chance to hear from six death row exonerees, as well as take part in meetings with your representatives in the Ohio House and Senate! Once again, I wish you and your family a happy and safe holiday season. You won’t get any more e-mails from us over the holiday weekend, but please look forward to further details on OTSE’s upcoming Lobby Day on April 14. On a final note, I’d like to share the inspirational news of 400+ Christian leaders who signed a letter against the death penalty this week: another reminder that our network of death penalty opponents is wide and strong.
