Fr. Kookoothe is a Catholic priest, lawyer, nurse, and advocate against the death penalty, who helped free Joe D’Ambrosio from Ohio’s death row. He serves as Pastor of St. Clarence Catholic Church in North Olmsted, Ohio.

Mr. D’Ambrosio is a survivor of wrongful capital conviction. After 22 years on death row, in 2010, he became the 6th Ohio death row inmate to be exonerated.

Pope Francis asks us to live the Year of Mercy beyond the Jubilee Year:

  • Hear Fr. Neil’s and Joe’s story of mercy on/after Ohio’s death row!
  • Witness to God’s mercy by signing Christmas cards to Ohio’s 138 residents on death row (all materials will be provided)
  • Close the Year of Mercy in Prayer in thanks for God’s mercy and to celebrate Christ’s love in our outreach, justice and life ministries
  • Enjoy good food and fellowship with a light meal and social

All are welcome, bring a friend! RSVPs requested.
