Host an Event in Your Area

Are you a part of a faith group, student club, civic association or other organization that is interested in hosting an educational event on Ohio’s death penalty? Leverage OTSE’s Speaker’s Bureau to bring experts to your area that have direct experience with the death penalty system in our state. View our programming options below to see what event is right for your group.

How do we schedule an event?

It’s easy! Fill out this form or contact Ohioans to Stop Executions at info@otse.org. Once we evaluate what your opportunity is, possible dates, and your preferred speakers, we’ll work with the speakers to find the date that works for everyone. Then we’ll set a timeline for organizing and provide template materials you can use or adapt to help encourage attendance.

Voices of Experience

Capital punishment has been in the news quite a bit lately across the nation and especially here in Ohio. On May 1st, 2014 the Ohio Supreme Court Joint Task Force to Review the Administration of Ohio’s Death Penalty published its findings, including 56 recommendations designed to increase the fairness and accuracy of the death penalty in our state. What are the recommendations, why do they matter and what does all of this have to do with you?

OTSE’s Voices of Experience tour brings together exonerees, former members of law enforcement, murder victim’s family members, and members of the Ohio Supreme Court Task Force to explore the 56 recommendations and how important they are in building a path to a fairer criminal justice system in Ohio.
