Dear OTSE Supporter,Yesterday, Ohioans to Stop Executions released its 2014 Annual Report on the death penalty in Ohio: A Crumbling Institution: Why Ohio Must Fix or End the Death Penalty. The report highlights a continuing trend of decline in the use of the death penalty in Ohio, covers last year's exonerations, comments on the longest period without executions Ohio has gone in over a decade, and also reports the staggeringly high number of men Ohio is planning to put to death in 2016. Please help us get it out there by sharing this email with others and via social media.
For the second year in a row, OTSE timed the release of its report to coincide with the annual Ohio Attorney General Capital Crimes Report. The media immediately picked up our report; its publication was covered in the Columbus Dispatch and in many other newspapers throughout the state via the Associated Press. Please consider adding positive feedback and the link to our report in the on-line comments below the articles on the web page of the newspaper covering the area where you live.
